Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA)
The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) is an NGO with members in 11 of the 12 countries which make up the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC). MISA's work focuses on the promotion of free, independent and diverse media, as envisaged in the 1991 Windhoek Declaration. MISA seeks ways in which to promote the free flow of information and co-operation between journalists, as a principal means of nurturing democracy and human rights in Africa. -
