Africa is now at a crucial threshold of its history. A history marked by several centuries of colonialism and exploitation that have left the continent almost bankrupt economically, socio-culturally and politically. What can be done to change the status of this continent from a history-less entity to the sort of history-full continent that many Africans and Africanists would like to see?
We are therefore inviting all those amongst you who have some expertise on Africa to shed some light on the history and culture of this continent, with a view to enhancing not only an understanding of it, but also to help shape its future as the continent is now poised to face the complexities of the third millennium.
The AFRICANIST SCHOLAR will accept views, reviews (film, books, music), opinions, scholarly articles and other sorts of critical endeavours, so long as these help to shed some light on the continent of Africa and its diaspora.
We are therefore looking forward to reading your contributions in this intellectual section of our site.
Thank you.
The Editors.
